What an exciting weekend we had! Be sure to ask your daughter about all of the activities that they did, because there were way too many to list them all! This was a successful first campout for the girls, and they learned a lot about many things. We earned the European Heritage Badge, the Archery Badge, and we completed the requirements as a troop for the Outdoor Adventure Badge. The girls had many favorite parts to their campout. Some of the highlights were canoeing, learning Archery, trading SWAPS, learning how to build a campfire and cook over it, and of course doing their Madagascar "I like to Move it" Dance for the skit. The girls that went all said they could not wait to go camping again! Karen Berges will become camp trained soon, so we will be planning more troop campouts in the future. Yea! All of the girls were well behaved, and worked together to get their tasks done. We promised them pizza for a snack for our next GS meeting if they all had good attitudes and listened to the leaders well. They definitely earned their pizza party for the next meeting on Thursday April 16th.
Volleyball was one of the first things that we did Sat. morning while we were waiting for some of our activities to get started. They had a lot of fun with the makeshift volleyball court.
